Have show tonight and have spent the last four days really taking care of my voice (aka no smoking, no drinking and no yelling ....that's the hardest, wah!) Also tried to cut out sugar this week but it made me want to yell so I dropped that lousy idea......the club we're playing at tonight has this really long bar. I"m gonna try getting up on it during our set and sliding down it. Will let you know how that goes. Next entry may be from hospital room :)

If smoking is now illegal in all public places in New York, then wearing cologne and perfume should also be. The stench of that crap is way more offensive.

Voice is back but really hoarse. I sound like Lauren Bacall.

Have laryngitis....wah. Have also realized that not talking is my personal hell. I hate being quiet. I HATE IT!!!! HEEELLPPPP!!!! THE SILENCE IS KILLING ME!!!!! Am catching up on filing and accounting though (the really fun part of running a band). Hope voice comes back before gig at the end of the week.

OK, I need some help. Our Stupid stickers are a piece of duct tape with Stupid written on it with a paint pen. Problem is, we've tried literally very friggin' kind of paint I can think of and eventually, they all rub or flake off. We've tried Sharpie's (they are the worst), various permanent ink markers, etc. Does anyone have any ideas? There HAS to be something. Like, maybe a glaze or something that would seal it on? I mean, I know we're at war right now and everything but this is really important.........

I really have to compliment cdbaby.com. They are the most artist friendly service I've ever used.

Freddy's is my favorite bar in the whole world. We threw another Stupid raging party there last night with Benjamin Ickies (another punk rock accordionist) and Hanna's band Telenovela. Hanna used to play bass for us back when we were a five piece and now she has a really good band. I made FU cheese and cracker platters. I found cookie cutters that are shaped like letters so I cut F and U out of American cheese and put them on Ritz crackers with some Cheez Wiz (which is now called Eazy Cheez for some stupid reason---Cheez Wiz sounds so much better). I was very proud of my creation.

Donald's dog (Donald is the booker/bartender/ videographer/coolest fucking guy in the world) ate a shitload of the cheese off the tables before we could stop her and stank up the bar with dog farts ......those of the worst, man....... Oh yeah, and Matt met a really pretty girl after the show .....hee hee. I want to make an FU lasagna next time but haven't been able to find the right shaped pans. Does anyone have any ideas for this? E-mail me at dana@stupidband.com and let me know. Maybe I'll do FU cheeseburgers instead .......or an FU quiche? Let me know what you think.
