So my most favorite Uncle (Steve, the drummer) came to see us for the first time with my Dad at our Hard Rock Cafe gig. We rocked but I was noticeably more tame and cut the song about sex where I writhe around on the ground in a fit of ecstasy. After the gig, Uncle Steve said he loved us but his one note was that I should sex it up some more and be a little bitchier.
OH MY GOD, my DAD is standing next to me!
And I AM still his little girl.
Sigh.
Goin' back to Cali in 2 days for
Devils Are Dreaming premiere at The Newport Beach Film Festival! YAY! YAY! It's on April 19th at 3PM at the Lido Theatre in Newport.
Sun.
Beach.
Pool.
Jacuzzi.
Margarita.
And me.
OK, we were asked to enter another Hard Rock Battle of the Bands tonight where the grand prize is to open for Sammy Hagar in Cabo San Lucas.
Uh....what?
Sigh.
Here we go again.
The NJ band I made wise ass cracks about through the last contest is entered again as well and as it's another audience vote and our crowd wouldn't touch a Hard Rock Cafe in midtown with a 50 foot pole, I wonder.....what the fuck are we doing?!
I can't drive 55.
I just can't.
Have to get ready to go to the Newport Beach Film Festival next weekend where the feature we scored
Devils Are Dreaming is premiering. Must burn at least a couple hundred of our soundtracks to sell as the screening is seating 600 and the extra dough would be frickin' awesome. Can't wait to hear our score on the big screen. And our video is so good I can't stop watching it.
Tired but yay.
We're getting there.
Oh look, it's the optimist in me for once.
Played packed show on Friday night
Drank lots of tequila
Made out in the girl's bathroom......heeheehee
