Had the BEST gig last night because:

1. It was a REAL punk show cause I booked the whole night and the other two punk bands (The Spunks and The Spunk Lads) were so awesome and everyone stayed for all three.
2. The staff at The Knitting Factory are the NICEST, MOST AWESOMEST people around. NOTE TO OTHER NY CLUBS: Hey, why not take a note from them and stop being douchebags? Now, there's a thought!
3. I managed to tell a funny story from the stage and not come off as crazy.
4. I got free tequila all night.

SUITS SUITS AND MORE SUITS
So the PJ Harvey last minute small show at Knitting Factory turned out to be an industry fuckfest. They ended up selling like 20 tickets to the general public apparantly. The staff at Knit is the best and let me in without a ticket to put up more of our posters for tomorrow's show there (as the labels had already torn ours down). As I tore down 2 or 3 of the 15 (all the same) that one label had put up, a suit came up to me and asked
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Well, let's see.....it looks like I'm putting some posters."
"There's already some up there", he replied smartly.
"Well, as there were already STUPID posters up there when YOU PEOPLE decided to tear THOSE down, I'd direct that comment inward, pal."
I almost said "Blow me" but thought better of it so instead I just stood there guarding our posters for the next hour.
Don't try and muscle me, Mr. Fat Suit.
I'll Kung Fu your ass into next year.
DIY baby, DIY

Laziness = Despicable
Just got into an argument with a friend of mine (who also has a band) who tried to talk me out of going to flyer and pass out samplers at the PJ Harvey show tonight as this friend thinks it's a "waste of time" to spend all that time and energy if only a couple of people show up to the next show as a result of my efforts.
Know what I despise most of all in most people?
LAZINESS.
I have no sympathy and utter disdain for the "sit on your ass" types.
Luck is when opportunity meets preparation and goddamnit, I plan on being prepared.
Sigh, now I'm all riled up.

I need to score soon.
Saw the movie "Coffee and Cigarettes" yesterday. Made me want to score another film something FIERCE as Matt and I have CD after CD FILLED with possible film score songs.
Now I just gotta figure out how to befriend Jim Jarmusch.
Easy!
